We are very proud at Mi Nuevo Mundo to have been pioneers in Spanish-language immersion early childhood education in Queens. Our children learn to understand and speak Spanish as soon as they start school. You will be amazed to witness the ease with which your 2 and 3-year- old children will start to use Spanish! At our Pre-K level, when kids are 4 years old, we transition into English-language communication (although Spanish is always present), preparing our students to enter Kindergarten.

For 2-3 year-olds In this stage we help train kids in their processes toward independence. Children during this period begin to forge their own place in the world, outside of the familial bubble, through socialization and sharing. We also focus on the development of their fine and gross motor skills, from using the bathroom, to drinking from a cup on their own, to holding a crayon and many other abilities that help them build self-confidence
En esta etapa ayudamos a entrenar a l@s niñ@s en sus procesos hacia la independencia. Por medio de la socialización y el compartir, l@s niñ@s en esta etapa empiezan a crear su propio lugar en el mundo, afuera de la burbuja del hogar. También nos enfocamos en el desarrollo de sus motricidades fina y gruesa, desde aprender a usar el baño sol@s, a tomar de un vaso sol@s, a rayar con un crayón y muchas otras habilidades que les ayuda a ir construyendo su seguridad y autosuficiencia.

For 3-4 year-olds This is a really fun stage of insatiable intelectual curiosity for children. During this time kids we focus on the development of language and oral expression, as well as advancing fine motor skills. These abilities help them understand and navigate their surroundings.
En esta etapa ayudamos a entrenar a l@s niñ@s en sus procesos hacia la independencia. Por medio de la socialización y el compratir, l@s niñ@s en esta etapa empiezan a crear su propio lugar en el mundo, afuera de la burbuja del hogar. Tambien nos enfoca- mos en el desarrollo de sus motrocidades fina y gruesa, desde aprender a usar el baño sol@s, a tomar un vaso solo@s, a rayar con un crayón y muchas otras habilidades que les ayuda a ir construyendo su seguridad y autosuficiencia.

This free program, financed by NY State, is for 4-5 year-olds. In PKA children begin to prepare themselves for "big kids school". Through play and guided activity kids expand their vocabulary and diversify their knowledge in academic areas like science, math and literature. In this same vein, we work on important concepts like responsibility and creativity which allows us to explore and potentialize each child's capacities. "We have Dual Language PKA (English and Spanish instruction) as well as Regular PKA (English instruction)."
Este programa gratuito, financiado por el estado de Nueva York, es para niñ@s de 4-5 años. En esta etapa empezamos a preparar a l@s niñ@s para el mundo de la “escuela grande”. Por medio del juego y actividades guiadas, l@s niñ@s expanden su vocabulario y diversifican su conocimiento académico en áreas como ciencias, matemáticas y literatura. Por este mismo canal también trabajamos valores como la responsabilidad y la creatividad, lo cual nos permite explorar y potencializar las capacidades de cada niñ@. Families of PreK children who require child care before or after regular program hours (8:30 - 2:50 PM) are welcome to enroll your kids in our Extended Hours program where children are involved in a variety of playful activities directed in Spanish.
